LEE COUNTY, GA -- Local author Valerie Benton read from her book, Greater Heights at the Lee County Library Sunday in honor of September 11th.

The book centers on a woman who works in the twin towers who is in an abusive relationship.

Embarrassed by the scars and bruises, she decides not to go to work on September 11, 2001, thereby missing the attacks.

She sees her gift of life as a wake-up call and works to turn it around.
