ALBANY, GA -- 2011 was a great year for Keep Albany-Dougherty Beautiful.

Director Judy Bowles gave the Dougherty County Commission an update Monday,

The group clocked over 240,000 volunteer hours.

They also removed over 14 tons of debris during their ‘Stash the Trash’ event.

And they will be taking your unwanted electronics this weekend as well as any outdated or unwanted medications in what they call ‘Operation Pill Drop’.

“We'll properly dispose of those. When you bring them in, is completely anonymous, you can leave them in the containers that they're in, we don't look at the container,” says Bowles.

The event is this Saturday from 9-1 p.m. behind the civic center.
