75-year-old dies after veering off road

A Southwest Georgia woman died this evening after veering off of the road and striking a power pole.

75-year-old Ella Jean Lord was traveling West on Highway 82 in Worth County when she struck a power pole.

Officials say there were no skid marks on the road and at this time Worth County Coroner John Johnson says she died from sudden blunt force trauma.
