The Georgia State Patrol reports seven fatalities from Labor Day weekend this year compared to 14 from last year
ALBANY, GA -- Officers were out all around the state on highways, back roads, and neighborhoods in order to keep Georgia roads as safe as possible during the Labor Day weekend.
As of 9 p.m. on Monday, the Georgia State Patrol is reporting 263 crashes, 156 injuries and seven fatalities on Georgia highways since the holiday weekend began at 6:00 p.m. Friday.
Last year over the Labor Day weekend, Georgia State Patrol saw 360 crashes, 211 injuries, and 13 deaths. Statewide during Labor Day 2010, according to GSP, Georgia saw 2,580 crashes, 1,042 injuries and 14 fatalities.
