DOUGHERTY COUNTY, GA -- A fundraising event held by the Dougherty County Sheriff's Office is facing a recall.

The Dougherty County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone who purchased a Boston butt today as a fundraiser to please not consume the pork. The Sheriff's Office has learned that some of the meat is bad and that anyone who has already picked up their Boston butt to bring it to the Sheriff's Office on Pine Avenue on Tuesday for a refund.  

Those who have not yet picked up their Boston butt can bring their ticket to the Sheriff's Office on Tuesday for a refund. The Sheriff offers his apology for any inconvenience this may cause and wants to thank all those who helped support the Sheriff's Office in this fundraising event.  Anyone having questions can call the Dougherty County Sheriff's Office at 229-431-3259.
