Multi-agency bust in Tifton

A multi-agency investigation comprised of the Tift County Sheriff’s Office, Mid-South Narcotics Task Force, South Central Drug Task Force, Ben Hill County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Drug Enforcement Agency lead to one arrest and a lot of drugs being confiscated.

Tift County Sheriff Gary Vowell says they arrested 28-year-old Quentalin Sherod Brown.  After officials searched Brown’s residence at 1002 Pineview Avenue they found approximately ½ kilogram of suspected cocaine, 2 pounds of marijuana, a 9 millimeter handgun, a .44 caliber revolver, a .223 caliber AR-15 Assault Rifle and more than $20,000 in cash.

Brown has been charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of firearms by a convicted felon.

He’s currently being housed at the Tift County Jail without bond.
