ALBANY, GA. -- Downtown businesses are staying open later in hopes that it will draw more people to the area. The city of Albany is promoting Family Nights at D'town events that have fun and food for all ages.

Thursday the Pizza Shop located on Broad Street stayed open until 9:00 p.m. to feed hungry guests. They are hoping next week’s turnout is even better.

“We're supposed to have some live bands out playing. Hopefully people will come in and try food and enjoy the atmosphere,” said Pizza Shop server Elisa Darrah.

Family Nights at D'town are scheduled for Thursdays.
