ALBANY, GA -- For today’s Facebook Story of the Day you wanted to know what the warning signs of diabetes are.
A local nurse said the signs are similar to what a person might feel like during the hot summer days.
“The most frequent warning signs are frequent urination, also frequent thirst, just a really, just an intense thirst that only water – they'll want water constantly and also an increase in hunger,” said DeDe Courts, a diabetes nurse at the Diabetes Treatment Center.
Courts said if a person thinks he or she might have diabetes, it is important to get a blood glucose testing. The center offers free tests for anyone who is interested.
