LEESBURG, GA. -- On Monday Lee County law enforcement held their National Night Out event in conjunction with a back to school bash.

Law enforcement vehicles lined the parking lot of the 1st Baptist Church in Leesburg, Ga. Families had the opportunity to take a look inside each vehicle and talk to officials about their job.

Students also had the chance to pick up school supplies in the school fair. Lee county officials believe it was a success.

“We had a really good turnout, especially for the back to school bash and the National Night Out, which we combined this year,” said Leesburg Police Sergeant James Vick.

The event was free to the public.
