ALBANY, GA -- Volunteers braved the heat Saturday morning to bring elementary school students some fun during recess.
It was a partnership with the Albany Museum of Art.
Lincoln Elementary Magnet School Principal, Dr. Sheryl Holmes, first dreamt up the idea of having a play area for students that was colorful and inspired students to move.
“It's something that's reinforcing the elements of learning, the elements of thinking outside the box and it just gives them another alternative to being outside and being active,” says volunteer, Erica Savage.
The area includes four square, a map of the U.S., a maze, and chutes and ladders.
