ALBANY, GA -- Dougherty County's Court-Appointed Special Advocates held a dance-a-thon at the State Theatre Saturday.

It helped kick off the new school year in style.

They held two dance-a-thons, one earlier Saturday afternoon for ages K-7th grade and Saturday night for the older students.

The students wasted no time getting on the dance floor.

“This has been done up in Chicago and we wanted to try it down here so we want to see what happens today,” said Program Director, Evelyn Cookley.
