ALBANY, GA -- An overnight fire on Doncaster Road has left a home a total loss.

The blaze, about 2:30 a.m., fully engulfed the home at 2304 Doncaster Road, leveling almost the entire house.

Allen Cravey, the assistant fire chief, said the cause of the fire has not been determined, but investigators are not ruling anything out. He said they are investigating whether the storms last night played a role.

Nobody was in the home at the time of the blaze, and the home’s owner was out of town, Cravey said.
