DOUGHERTY COUNTY, GA -- Dougherty County Pre-K programs will begin on August 1st this year despite parents being told it would start on the 8th according to Dougherty County School System Public Information Officer R.D. Harter.
"Due to reduced funding, many parents were told that Pre-K would begin on the 8th, but to eliminate confusion about the first day of class and provide convenience for parents with students in upper grades instruction and Pre-K students, the system will begin Pre-K at the same time" says Harter.
