ALBANY, GA -- The skate park located downtown may be moved to Chehaw Park.

In Tuesday’s city commission meeting, Mayor Willie Adams asked that the skate park be put on the agenda for their next meeting--no talks have taken place yet on the subject.

Downtown Manager Aaron Blair isn't sure how patrons would take to the proposed change.

“Chehaw's not a free entity that allows people to come in and freely use the skate park, while currently the skate park is free to the public and a lot of the skaters and people that utilize it like it for that reason,” says Blair.

No action has been taken yet, but it will be discussed at the August 2nd city commission meeting.
