Police respond to a child being run over by a vehicle

Shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday evening 3-year-old Stevie Johnson ran out into the block of South Madison Street and was struck by a 1999 Ford Taurus.

The toddler was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital along with his mother Shontae Johnson just after 11 p.m. Wednesday evening.

Police say no charges have been filed at this time.
