ALBANY, GA -- A press release from former Georgia Rep. John White has indicated his plan to run for Mayor of Albany.

White says his political experiences and contacts will help him be a successful mayor and return the city of Albany to its former glory.

"Albany is at a point now where it needs help and I think I can rise to the occasion and help this city move back to where it used to be or beyond that point," says White.

White says “He will make reference to what he thinks Albany is in need of and how he will attempt to accomplish certain goals for the improvement of the city and its people”.

Supporters of former State Rep. White will gather at the Merry Acres Conference Center Located at 1500 Dawson Road to witness his announcement statement relative to his offering to seek the Mayorship of Albany on Thursday, July 7th at 7PM.
