ALBANY, GA -- An Albany man remains in critical condition after a savage attack, but police have announced an arrest in the case.

Tracy Smith was arrested yesterday by officers.

Police say he was one of three men who chased down 45-year-old Jerome Walden and beat him in a back alley on June 24.

A witness told officers Walden was beaten with a wooden board that had nails attached.
