ALBANY, GA -- Folks are gearing up for the festivities this coming Monday.

We caught up with a couple families cooling off out at Riverfront Park, and asked them about the holiday.

“Barbecuing, spending time with my kids, my family and then later on that evening we'll be watching the fireworks,” said Joe Jackson of Albany.

Officials say they're expecting a big crowd at Monday night's fireworks show.
