ALBANY, GA -- It's the story you chose in our Facebook story of the day: Are more youth sports programs needed in Albany?

Now that school is out kids are going to have some free time on their hands. To keep them off the couch and keep them running around Albany Recreation and Parks Department has some options.

“Our gyms and centers are open, they'll be doing summer programs from nine to three every day,” said Derrell Smith. “And then after three o'clock it'll just be open for summer play. Our swimming pool is now open. We really want to emphasis that everybody knows how to swim.”
