Victim's names released in Cordele shooting

CORDELE, GA -- We have more information on a Cordele shooting that happened Saturday night that sent four people to the hospital.

Police responded to the area of 11th Street and 22nd Avenue at 9:35 p.m. in reference to a shooting.

They found the first victim, 65-year-old Helen Hardeman at her home on 22nd Avenue with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Hardeman had been sitting on her front porch when she was hit.

A second victim, 18-year-old Markavious Johnson was hit in the leg and taken to crisp regional hospital.

Police have arrested 18-year-old Rondell Ashley and 20-year-old Kelsey Smith on unrelated charges, however, police expect to file formal charges concerning the shootings.

Officers responded to the same area one hour later in reference to more gunshots and found 19-year-old Christopher Grover with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Grover was also taken to crisp regional.

A fourth victim, 18-year-old Kenneth Grover was shot in the wrist and thigh area.

A suspect in the second shooting has been identified and police are searching for them, but are still investigating a motive.
