DOUGHERTY COUNTY, GA -- Dougherty County is knee-deep in budget cuts and looking for other ways to balance the budget.

Commissioner John Hayes says he would like to invite CH2M Hill, a global provider of operations services to evaluate the county.

Hayes says the company would identify revenue sources within the county that aren't being tapped.

“There's only so much cutting that you can do and I think we've gone a long way toward that. We've got to look at the other side and that is where some additional revenue may be,” said commissioner John Hayes.

The commission will vote on the decision at their next meeting, Monday may 23rd.
