Clergy stops by hospital to bless staff.

ALBANY, GA -- For National Nurses Week, Phoebe pastoral associates gathered in Denson Chapel inside the hospital to bless the hands of the nurses.

All staff were welcome to stop by the sanctuary for a blessing.

Clergy members said a prayer as they joined hands with those desiring prayer.

Organizers for the event used it to recognize nurses for their hard work.

"The nurses are so wonderful with their hands. The care that they give the patients and we want to give back something to them because this is National Nurses Week," said Connie Tucker, Phoebe spiritual care coordinator.

This is the third year for the 'Blessing of the Hands' event.
