ALBANY, GA -- The girl scouts were out doing community service, making Albany a better place to live!

Troop  40342 were at Theatre Albany, scraping the old paint off the hand rails and putting a fresh coat of paint on.

They put over 10% of their cookie sales towards the project and even had a little help from Short and Paulk with the supplies.

“Girl scouts is not all about selling the cookies and the meetings, we like to go out and give Albany its potential because doing all these little things can really add up to a better community,” said 14-year-old Kristen Beaty.

The troop has been volunteering at Theatre Albany all year.
