Albany Technical College's recognized outstanding students by inducting them to the National Technical Honors Society

ALBANY, GA -- More than 42 students were inducted into Albany Technical College’s National Technical Honors Society tonight. Students are invited to join the organization by faculty members.

A candle was lit for each of the seven personal qualities the NTHS students must display, including responsibility and citizenship.

Eligible students must also have completed a minimum of 24 credit hours, have a 3.5 overall GPA and made higher than a B on any course exam.

“It is an honor to be inducted into the honor society. I was actually a member of the National Honor Society in high school,” says Albany Tech Pharmacy Technology Student Tracy Oliver. Her program director, Teresa Mitchell, nominated her to join NTHS.

Tony Thomas who is a Carpentry student at Albany Tech says it’s a great honor to be a part of NTHS and to be nominated by the Construction Director.

NTHS is a group recognizing outstanding student achievement and education. The organization also offers scholarships to its members every year.
