ALBANY, GA -- One person has been confirmed dead in an ATV accident Saturday night.
Dougherty County police say three people were riding ATV's around 10:30 Saturday night out by the Chickasawhatchee Wildlife Management area when one of the riders hit a barrier surrounding the wildlife preserve.
“This is a single vehicle accident on private property, the operator of the ATV is now deceased, there's nothing that we'll be charging with,” said Chief Don Cheek of the Dougherty County Police.
Chief cheek says they believe the three were on their way to a nearby lake to go swimming.
