A new partnership with the Red Cross hopes to help those hit by recent tornadoes

ALBANY, GA -- Winn Dixie is partnering with the Red Cross to help victims of the recent tornadoes in the southeast.

A new push, called "Neighbors Helping Neighbors" will kick off Saturday.

At the checkout, customers will have a chance to donate anywhere from 50 cents to $500.

Folks at the Winn Dixie say they are thinking of their friends in Alabama.

Blaine Fletcher: we have a lot of stores in Alabama, luckily none of those were really damaged but people around them were. So we're doing this to try to help the victims,” said Blaine Fletcher, Store Manager.

100% of the proceeds go to the Red Cross.

You will be able to donate at the local Winn Dixie in Lee County for the next three months.
