Students are recognized for school work and service at Darton College's 43rd Annual Honors Awards Ceremony
ALBANY, GA -- Darton College recognized their best and brightest Wednesday night at the 43rd Annual Honors Awards Ceremony.
Students received awards not only for their academic achievement, but also their hard work in community service. Awards were presented for outstanding student activity, student honors, service to the college and for each academic field.
“It's nice to just get that recognition of, 'You worked really hard and you did it! Here’s something to put on your wall and share with your family!' because it's not about having the plaques: It's having the ceremony with your whole family and with my husband and that's really nice,” says Theater Major Amber Humphries, who won numerous awards Wednesday night, including one for maintaining a 4.0 GPA.
Darton College also honored the 2011 Academic Recognition Student, Andrew Wilder, with a special proclamation during the ceremony.
