A 26-year-old man was struck by a car after he crossed in front of a driver on Gaines Avenue Tuesday

ALBANY, GAB -- A young man was transported to the hospital after he was struck by a vehicle while riding his bike.

It happened at Oakridge Drive and Gaines Avenue around noon Tuesday.

69-year-old Mary Rivers was driving her Ford Taurus northbound on Gaines when 26-year-old Alvin Deon Albritton crossed in front of the car on his bike and was struck.

Albritton was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

Albany police say no charges will be filed.
