Marlina Von Hamilton sentenced to life in prison

Sentenced to life in prison.

ALBANY, GA -- Marlina Von Hamilton has been sentenced to life in prison plus five years.

Albany District Attorney Greg Edwards said the woman has the possibility of parole for the October 2011 slaying of her ex-husband, Christopher Donaldson.

Donaldson was shot in the penis and in the chest.

Authorities said Von Hamilton claimed self defense after the shooting.
