Car accident halts traffic around 7 p.m.

ALBANY, GA -- Around 7 p.m. a car accident sent multiple people to the hospital and blocked traffic in both directions.

19-year-old Sommer Grizzard was driving southbount on North Slappey Boulevard around Fun Park when she changed lanes and struck 18-year-old Jasmine Gilbert's car.

Gilbert tried to overcorrect the car to avoid the accident and wound up flipping the car on top of itself.

Grizzard and two passengers were taken to Palmyra to be treated for minor injuries.
