Ezra Jones spent one year in Afghanistan supporting the war fighter
ALBANY, GA -- A civilian marine is back on U.S. soil after spending one year overseas.
Ezra Jones spent the last year in Afghanistan supporting the war fighter repairing MRAP which stands for mine resistant ambush protective vehicles.
He says he's glad to serve our troops and will be spending a few weeks at home, before returning for another one year tour later this year.
“I love that job, I mean, c'mon, I’m single, I don't have to cook, I don't have to clean, I don't have to do my own laundry, I mean it's fantastic! Plus I get to support the troops and like I said, they know we're here to support them, they appreciate it,” said Jones.
He says the first thing he plans on doing is eating a good meal and taking a hot bath.
