ALBANY, GA -- Saturday at 9 a.m., gates will open at the Deerfield-Windsor School for the "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" event hosted by the Lily Pad Sane Center.

Men will wear red four-inch high heels to raise awareness about physical and sexual abuse.

The walk starts a little after 10 a.m. Organizers say it's for a good cause.

"It's Child Abuse Awareness Month, and at the Lily Pad we serve over 30 counties in Southwest Georgia for sexual assault and physical abuse cases. So in light of the last couple of weeks and the last year that we've had, we're excited to have this event during this month. The money that the walkers raise will go towards this center," said Lily Pad Chief Development Officer Caitlyn Cooper.

There will also be a best legs competition to raise additional money for the center.
