Sign-ups started Wednesday for the Albany Star competition
ALBANY, GA -- Maybe you couldn't quite make the cut for American Idol, but if you think you've got the talent you can win the hometown version. Sign-ups started Wednesday for the Albany Star competition.
The Recreation and Parks Department are looking for Southwest Georgia’s best singers. It's the second year of the competition.
“Last year we had three rounds, this year we are starting a little late so we are going to have one on May 21st 2 to 5 p.m. at the second one is august 6th from two to five at the amphitheatre and the finals will roll into the river jam on September 24th,” said Roni Ware, coordinator of the event.
If you want to sign-up, stop by the Recreation and Parks office for an application by May 21st.
