Ann Downing visits the First Church of the Nazarene

On Sunday, gospel singer Ann Downing made an appearance at the First Church of the Nazarene on 1411 Liberty Expressway in Albany.

Downing got her musical start with The Downings in the 70s. She then went on to create the Billboard hit "Climbing Jacobs Ladder."

She says her music is not solely country music.

"Coming from Nashville, Tennessee people have a tendency to think that you're more country. That's not the case. Nashville is more than just country music," said Ann Downing, soloist.

The First Church of the Nazarene is headed by Pastor Steve Wood.
