Saturday the school hosted their Miss ASU and Mr. Royal Rentleman competition
ALBANY, GA -- Albany state university billed it as an “explosion of beauty and charm.” Saturday the school hosted their Miss ASU and Mr. Royal Rentleman competition.
The school's auditorium was packed, some students had to stand. Officials say the pageant is a big deal for the school.
“They represent the university at on campus activates, off campus activities, they're at the honors day programs the founders day programs. They are representatives at the Fountain City Classic where Albany State plays Fort Valley State every year and throughout the year at various events that the campus has and these are our official representatives,” said Leslie Heard, pageant coordinator.
Neshaszda Brown a junior majoring in education was named Ms. ASU and Christopher Atkinson, a junior majoring in speech and theatre won Mr. Royal Gentleman.
