ALBANY, GA -- It was all business as usual at the Albany City Commission meeting, but some employees were rewarded for going above and beyond with business.

The Mayor and Interim City Manager presented employees with a Budget Award for a job well done.

Commissioners also approved the shredding of records at the airport and city clerk’s office. The Southwest Georgia Regional Airport Director Yvette Aehle says the papers are old parking tickets and bills. Aehle says there are approximately 100 boxes that the city is helping to shred free of charge.
