Prosecutors say the girl said Clarence Williams would give her candy, chips and cookies after forcing her to engage in sexual acts
ATLANTA -- An Atlanta jury convicted an 81-year-old man Friday of sexually molesting a young girl. The child had been left in his custody while her parents were deployed overseas.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that a judge sentenced Clarence Williams to life in prison after the jury brought back guilty verdicts on all three counts brought against him.
The girl testified the abuse began in 2002 and continued through 2005. Prosecutors say the girl said Williams would give her candy, chips and cookies after forcing her to engage in sexual acts.
