At least 12 dogs were seized by authorities Thursday

DONALDSONVILLE, GA -- At least 12 dogs suspected of being used for dog fighting activity were found Thursday by police in Donaldsonville while the South Georgia Drug Task Force executed six search warrants for suspected drug trafficking.

The six search warrants were executed in conjunction with the Donaldsonville Police Department.

Norred and Associates, a private security and executive protection firm out of Atlanta had previously conducted a dog fighting investigation involving the same suspects and alerted police about possible dog fighting in November of last year.

Dog fighting charges are pending.
