ALBANY GA -- Law enforcement responded to two separate car accidents Friday afternoon.

The Liberty Expressway was backed up for multiple exits because of one car striking another while attempting to merge on to the expressway around the Jefferson Street entrance ramp.

In a separate incident a 10-year-old boy was killed when a woman pulled off Livingston Road onto the expressway right into the path of a tractor trailer.  The truck smashed the passenger side of the car.  The child’s mother and another woman in the front seat were injured and are at the hospital.  The tractor trailer driver is okay.

Officials haven’t released the names of the people invited.
