ALBANY, GA -- Radium Springs Middle School received a sizeable donation today for their arts program. Saint John and Saint mark Episcopal Church presented a check for nearly $1,300.

The church threw a jazz fest to help raise the funds.

“We wanted to do something to be more of a presence in the neighborhood other than a building that people come to on Sunday, so it was an idea that people had sitting around talking and from there it sort of blossomed,” said Sharon Stuart.

Radium Springs is a magnet school specializing in arts studies.

School officials say they plan to use the money for their recruitment team to attract new students to the school.
