THOMASVILLE, GA -- A Thomasville man who served a decade in prison on a child molestation conviction is back behind bars.

Police arrested 42-year-old Guy Smith last week, just one day after a probation officer reportedly saw Smith at a Thomasville daycare facility.

Smith was convicted in 1999 of two counts of child molestation and one count of statutory rape. He was sentenced to - and served - 10 years in prison.

Smith is charged with violating probation by being at a child care facility.

According to the terms of his probation, smith cannot be around children unsupervised at any public place.

Smith remains in the Thomas County jail.

He is not eligible for bond.
