Dean of the College of Arts and Humanities holds a recital at the Albany Museum of Art
ALBANY, GA -- An ASU dean shows off his musical side.
Doctor Leroy Bynum, Jr. Is the dean of the College of Arts and Humanities at Albany State University and Sunday, he gave a recital at the Museum of Art.
He, with a small ensemble, explored Baroque and Bel-canto musical forms.
Dr. Bynum says he tries to organize recitals like this one on a regular basis.
“It fuels my creative side to plan recitals like this, even through the hecticness[sic] of being a dean and I think it makes me a better dean because I am one who can show by example that you can be also musical, but also be professional,” Said Dr. Bynum.
Dr. Bynum has studied in Austria and Berlin, Germany.
