More than 1,000 motorcycle riders are expected for the memorial run which will raise money for Rouse's family
The Cliff Rouse Memorial Ride will be held March 26th and is already expecting 1,000 motorcycle riders
ALBANY, GA -- A group from the Dougherty County Police Department is organizing a memorial ride for Lt. Cliff Rouse.
Money raised from the motorcycle ride will go to Rouse’s family: his wife, his 13-year-old son and his 6-year-old daughter with special needs.
“Every time we had a motorcycle ride or parade, Cliff was always there to escort us, make sure the bikes get where they need to safely. He's come in on his day off and escorted rides for us. It's just our way of Cliff's always led us, this is our way of leading Cliff. Just something to honor him,” says organizer Wes Shubert.
The group already plans on having 1,000 riders in the poker run-style ride. The rider with the best hand will win $125 and the rider with the worst hand will win $75. A dice-roll ride is also an option with cash prizes at the same amounts as the poker run.
The memorial ride will be on March 26th at starting at Veterans Park.
A 32-inch flat screen Toshiba TV and a Mossberg 12Ga. shotgun will be given away in a raffle.

All bikes and groups are welcome to participate.
