Grand Island Club General Manager turns in resignation to Lee County Administrator Wednesday morning
On Wednesday Grand Island Club General Manager Uel Kemp turned in his resignation, effective immediately
LEE COUNTY, GA -- The General Manager of the Grand Island Club is resigning.
Lee County Commission Chairman Ed Duffy says General Manager Uel Kemp turned in a resignation letter to County Administrator Tony Massey Wednesday morning effective immediately.
“He gave our County Administrator a resignation today (Wednesday). We wish him well, and we’ll give him as much of a recommendation as he wants us to give him,” says Duffy.
The Grand Island Club is owned by Lee County.
In a Board of Commissioners meeting in January, board members addressed the Grand Island Club’s $57,000 deficit from 2010. Members and Kemp discussed making cuts to operations at the club to offset the debt.
