ALBANY, GA -- A local school counselor who was recognized as one of the best in the nation has now written a book.

Dr. TeShaunda Hannor-Walker, who works at Northside Elementary School, held her first book signing this morning.

She and her husband co-wrote the book "How to Raise a Successful Child with ADD."

The book was inspired by their own struggles raising a daughter with ADD.

“What we tried to do was just bring a little bit of inspiration to the parents and hopefully be that bridge between the schools and the families by bringing more awareness around the issue of attention deficit disorder,” said Hannor-Walker.

Hannor-Walker was just named one of the top ten school counselors in the United States.
