Riley Conner from Leesburg wins the Flint RiverQuarium Valentine Turtle Race and $500
ALBANY, GA -- More than 1,000 rubber turtles tumbled down the Flint RiverQuarium at the mini Valentine Turtle Race on Saturday afternoon The winner of the Valentine Race was Riley Conner from Leesburg and wins $500.
The mini race was held to celebrate Valentine’s weekend and build up anticipation for the final race for Mardi Gras. Turtles that raced in Saturday's event will race again for the Mardi Gras Turtle Race.
The Third Annual Mardi Gras Flint RiverQuarium Turtle Race will be held March 5th at 4 p.m. It’s not too late to sign up for a turtle to race in the final competition! Call the RiverQuarium at (229) 639-2650 or visit them at 117 Pine Avenue to enter the race.
