Marines talk mission, family

ALBANY, GA. -- Family and friends welcomed three Marines home from the Middle East today.

Edwin Hill and Khamal Magwood are civilian Marines returning from year-long tours in Kuwait.

First Lieutenant Jonathan Siskey arrived home for two weeks of R and R.

He will be returning to Afghanistan later this month.

"You have to realize that you’re not trying to set in an American democracy," said Siskey. "You’re trying to change Afghanistan into a stable country so that one day, they can stand on their own."

"You miss your family," said Hill. "You miss the things your family does when you can’t be here – Christmas and getting their braces off."

Hill’s return is good timing – he’s scheduled to be married in two weeks.
