Police are charging a young woman for a falsely reporting that she was raped by a man who was possibly a gang member

ALBANY, GA -- Albany police say Jaques Williams, 21, is charged with False Report of a Crime and Giving False Statements after she reported this morning to APD that she was allegedly raped.

APD officials say they received a call at approximately 11:30 a.m. Wednesday regarding a rape at the Superior Creek Lodge on Slappey.

Previously, they say Williams reported she was raped by a black male who is 5'10" and weighing 150 pounds wearing a red shirt, blue pants and polo boots. They say Williams was saying his name could be a gang member named Darious.
