Agents make 16 arrests

ALBANY, GA. -- Albany drug agents are speaking out about the sting operation they conducted on an alleged curbside drug store last week.

Investigators raided this home at 523 9th Avenue on Friday.

While searching the home, officers say potential drug buyers continued to stop and ask for drugs.

That’s when the agents began a reverse sting.

They eventually arrested 16 people on various drug charges.

"It’s stupid because there are police cars and drug unit cars on top of that, parked on the street or in the alley or in the side of the house and they still approached," said Major Bill Berry of the Albany Drug Unit.

Investigators say most of the individuals arrested claimed they came to the house looking for a job.
