ALBANY, GA. -- If you still need a flu shot, the health department has good news.

14 county health departments across Southwest Georgia are lowering the cost of a flu shot from $20.00 to $15.00.

Flu activity remains high and health officials are struggling to protect as many people as possible.

They also want to remind people to remember the basics of flu prevention.

"Wash their hands," advised Dr. Jacqueline Grant. "Keep sick children at home. If you’re sick, stay home, and cover your coughs and sneezes."

Those most at risk for complications from the flu include children, adults over 50, and women who are pregnant.
